Dr. Sara Caldwell grew up in Atlanta Georgia with her mom and step-dad, one brother and a house full of pets. She is the owner of the practice and its primary veterinarian. She always wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a little girl rehabilitating tiny birds that fell from their nest and putting pretend casts on her teddy bears. She is thoroughly fulfilled by relieving the suffering of animals and is honored to be able to do so as a livelihood. She enjoys horses, specifically dressage, although she has evented, foxhunted and played polo. Her favorite dog breeds tend to be brachycephalic (like pugs and bulldogs) but she has also owned and loved dachschunds, Danes, and heelers. She currently shares her home (and her heart!) with a pug, a Clyde cross horse, and her very sweet small child :)
We will happily give directions!

Grace is from the Oregon coast, growing up in North Bend. She then came to Portland to work in the restaurant industry. After moving to Hawaii, and realizing that the work she wanted was not with food but with animals, Grace moved back to Portland and enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at Portland Community College for a career change.
In the winter of 2011, Grace married her best friend, Hac. In the beginning of 2012, they bought their first house together and are busy filling it with animals; they are living with 2 dogs (Tica and Scruffy), 3 cats (Violet, Neptune and Nyx), in addition to chickens and rabbits.
Grace graduated the PCC Veterinary Technology program in 2012 and started work in the field just before graduation.
Grace enjoys spending her free time gardening, reading books, cooking, and traveling, as well as taking Tica and Scruffy for long hikes, especially around the Sandy River Delta.
Her passions in veterinary medicine include behavior, dentistry, labwork, and client education.

Meredith grew up in Ridgefield, WA on a 20 acre farm, to which she attributes her love of animals. She has worked as a Tech Assistant for the last 7 years. She graduated from Warner Pacific College in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and the goal of transitioning into Practice Management. She plans to attend USC for her Master’s in Organizational Psychology starting in the spring of 2016. She currently lives in Gresham with her boyfriend and her 13 year old daughter. At the moment she has only one very spoiled cat, but hopes to add a dog to her family in the near future. In her minimal spare time, she enjoys hiking, photography and spending time at the coast.
Paige originates from the Delaware/Pennsylvania area, where she grew up, attended school, and began pursuing her lifetime passion for working with animals. There, she worked on a dairy goat farm, which sparked her interest in veterinary work. She then moved to Oregon to work on a horse breeding and rescue farm. Now located in Portland, Paige is eager to further her veterinary experience and credentials and continue engaging in the highly rewarding practice of veterinary medicine.
Teresa grew up in Ketchikan, Alaska, until high school when she moved to the Portland area. She worked in the human medical field until she had the opportunity to work in emergency/critical care veterinary medicine in 2014 and she fell in love and discovered her passion for helping sick animals and helping keep healthy animals healthy.
Teresa has two dogs; a Chihuahua named Penny and a Chihuahua mix named Bailey. She enjoys spending her free time fishing, reading, cooking, and watching sports, as well as being a mom to two wonderful children
Megan was born in Virginia and moved around a lot due to her family’s military background. Her childhood years were spent mostly in southeast Alaska and then her family returned to Virginia for a brief year before making the 6 day drive to settle in Oregon where she has been since 2001.
Megan has loved animals for as long as she could remember. She always knew a career in animal health was her calling. In high school she worked part time at an animal hospital before going away for college. After moving back home she accepted a job as a dog bather and eventually trained as a pet groomer. She was certified and has been grooming dogs since 2008. After moving to Happy Valley she made the career change to a veterinary assistant at HVVH and absolutely loves it!
In September 2014 Megan married the love of her life, Mitchell. They just recently bought their first house and have a baby on the way in November 2015! They have two pets, a cat named LuLu and a dog named Ifrit. In their spare time they love to go hiking, beach trips, dog parks, etc.
Megan loves continuously learning new things in her career, client education, helping with radiology, helping with laboratory work, and nursing ill pets back to health.
